The Dean of the University officially launched the project “Neonatal screening among newborns in Senegal”. More than 150 participants honored the event with their participation, including representatives of national health structures, like Public Health Ministry and Ministry of Higher Education (the research and applied science), important medical and education institutions, namely the Director of the Albert Royer hospital hosting the diagnostic center and the President of the gynaecologists. Nurses, midwives, pediatricians, gynaecologists, ENT doctors and students also took part in the workshop and among others greatly benefited from theoretical and practical training on newborn hearing screening which was organized on the last day of the workshop. All the participants warmly welcomed the project and confirmed their support and engagement.
