The training was aimed at professionals, including teachers of the deaf, caregivers and parents of children with hearing loss. 30 participants were provided with essential knowledge to better understand hearing loss and its impact on communication and introduced to various hearing devices. As well as that, useful and practical techniques were demonstrated to promote speech, language and listening skills in children with hearing loss. The participants were also equipped with practical skills and hands-on sessions to support the children’s rehabilitation at home and school.
The possibility to actively interact, to strengthen collaboration and to create a supportive network between parents, caregivers, professionals and teachers was highly beneficial for all the participants.
