The opening event was attended by a number of decision-making authorities, including a representative of the Commissioner for Health, Kaduna, dignitaries from the Matan Arewa Kaduna branch, the Managing Director of National Ear Center, Kaduna, the Managing Director of Barau Dikko Hospital, as well as representatives of the 44 Nigeria Army Reference hospital. The guests of the event acknowledged the positive impact of the Family Curriculum Workshop on the parents and a wider community.

During the two-day training families of young CI users acquired theoretical knowledge and practical strategies to support their children in the rehabilitation journey encouraging their hearing and speech development. The positive feedback given by all the participants clearly shows that such professional guidance is highly demanded and appreciated.
