A group of professionals, including an ENT specialist, an Audiological Physician and five Audiologists, provided ENT consultations, hearing assessment and screening, hearing aid fitting, free medication, and other necessary support to more than 200 patients who took part in the camp.
As a result, about 50 people could undergo accurate hearing level evaluation, 12 patients were successfully fitted with free hearing aids, those who required medication for discharging ears, Otomycosis, URTI, sinusitis and other conditions got it free of charge. An important educational part of the camp’s activities was devoted to the basics of ear and hearing care, significance of regular check-ups and timely intervention.
Follow-ups and further events have already been planned for the foreseeable future to extend the positive outcome of the camp.
