The presence of honorable guests highlighted the importance of the event. The head of the ADA representative office in Bhutan, Mag. Gerhard Adam, the head of the ENT-department, Dr. Phub Tshering as well as the head of the audiology department, Karma Tenzin, attended the official ceremony.
Another mark of the special significance of the event was reflected by a traditional and sacred act of the blessing of the devices, performed by the hospital priest.
The next two days, 20th and 21st November, were devoted to the training of the audiology team. During this training a highly experienced specialist from Germany shared his valuable knowledge and know-how with the Bhutanese audiology team.
