Kenyan officials from The Ministry of Health and Advantage Austria (Austrian Commercial Counsellor in Kenya) as well as representatives of The University of Nairobi took part in the workshop. It is especially important that there were representatives from 6 Sub-Saharan African countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda.
Participants from such renowned institutions as Polish Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and Indian MERF Institute of Speech and Hearing made a great contribution to the workshop. In general, about 30 outstanding national and international guests were present.
During these extremely fruitful 3 days experienced specialists gave insight on and spoke about challenges in Speech and Language pathology and Audiology in Sub-Saharan Africa. The extended workshop plan split the participants into two groups one focused on the BSc programme and the other on rehabilitation, which allowed to maximize the benefits of the mutual exchange of precious knowledge.
